I have felt honored over the years to complete commissioned works for many church, school, community and professional ensembles as they have celebrated such touchstones as a special anniversary, building dedication, landmark event, or the legacy of a beloved individual.
Each unique situation involved careful dialogue with the commissioning party, hopefully to arrive at an end result aligning well with the project’s original intent.
Although my current writing schedule limits the number of commissions I can accept, I am always happy to consider them. The scope of a specific project (performing forces, length, timeframe, etc.) determines the commission fee.
